Capitals’ Jason Chimera Breaks His Nose On Helmet, Returns To Game

Washington Capitals forward Jason Chimera went to hit Detroit Red Wings defenseman Brendan Smith and got a lot more than he bargained for. Smith surprised him with a hit and the taller Chimera hit his face on the top of Smith’s helmet. Chimera was bleeding badly, but once it stopped, returned to the game. I’m pretty surprised they aren’t making him wear a cage or anything.

His nose looks like a C right now. Yeesh.
