Brent Seabrook Injures David Backes On Dirty Hit, Gets Ejected

Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Brent Seabrook threw a brutally late and high hit on St. Louis Blues captain David Backes. Backes was out cold immediately and trainers had to hold him back from trying to get involved in a scrum. It’s a pretty scary and brutal hit for Seabrook to throw and the fact that Backes tried to get up and fight is astounding. I’m guessing Seabrook will be suspended for 5 games, following his five minute major and ejection from the game, and that David Backes will miss a bit of time.
