Replacement referee stands by his controversial call on ‘Today’ show

Does anyone remember the replacement refs?

During the Monday Night Football game between the Packers-Seahawks game on September 29th, one of the replacement refs made a controversial call when he rewarded the Seahawks’ Golden Tate a touchdown reception even though it appeared that the Packers player, M.D. Jennings had the ball.

The official, Lance Easley, sat down with Matt Lauer on the Today Show on Tuesday morning and said that he stands by his call. Easily, who is also a bank Vice President and referees for Junior College games, said that he stands by his call.  Easily also added that he was qualified to work in the NFL and he will always be reminded of the call.

The NFL reviewed the play and agreed with Easley’s call, so it makes sense that he would also stand by the play.
