Report: Cavs Considering A Trade For Nets’ Joe Johnson

ESPN’s Brian Windhorst is reporting that the Cleveland Cavaliers may be looking to trade for SG Joe Johnson in exchange for Brendan Haywood:

The Cleveland Cavaliers are considering trading for Brooklyn Nets star Joe Johnson with their Brendan Haywood contract chip, sources told ESPN.com.

Windhorst also notes that Anderson Varejao, who is coming off a season-ending ruptured Achilles tendon injury, could be sent to Brooklyn as well.

Johnson, set to make $24.8 million next year, averaged 14.4 ppg. last season. A starting five of Kyrie Irving, Joe Johnson, LeBron James, Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson could be pretty lethal.
