Have The Chicago Bulls Put Taj Gibson On The Trade-Block?

Has the development of Nikola Mirotic made Taj Gibson expendable for the Chicago Bulls?  According to a recent Sporting News article, Gibson is one of the 15 NBA players who are currently on the trade block. The article says the 29-year-old power forward has been linked to potential trades with the Lakers, Raptors, Suns and Pistons over the last few months.

Gibson is due $17.4 million over the next two-season, which likely would be a major hurdle in any deal. At the same time, if Chicago were to trade Gibson, who’s averaging 11 points and 7 rebounds this season, they would be left with Mirotic, Nazr Mohammed and Cameron Bairstow as their only bigs coming off the bench.

I doubt the Bulls would deal such a crucial bench player, but say if offered Wilson Chanlder-for-Gibson straight up, should Chicago do the trade?

The NBA Trade Deadline is February 19th.
