Houston QB John O’Korn Transfers to Michigan

Houston Cougars QB John O’Korn announced on Thursday that he will transfer to Michigan. O’Korn will have to redshirt next year, and he was 31st ranked pro-style QB in the 2013 class according to 24/7.

I wouldn’t expect O’Korn to start a game at Michigan, but it’s pretty clear that Jim Harbaugh wants his quarterbacks to have some major competition and see who rises to the challenge. O’Korn was benched five games into his sophomore year after a standout freshman year.

Michigan is also looking into possibly adding 5th year grad-transfer CB Wayne Lyons from Stanford.
