AHL Goalie Doesn’t Hear Whistle, Stops Shootout Attempt Anyways

Manchester Monarchs goalie Patrik Bartosak apparently didn’t hear the referees whistle signaling the start of the shootout attempt during the Monarchs game against the Hartford Wolfpack. Bartosak literally never moved, just staring down at the ice and still stopped Joey Crabb’s shootout attempt. Crabb’s reaction to being stopped is literally priceless, he was dumbfounded.

Even though Manchester ended up losing, Bartosak had a good sense of humor about the incident.
