ASU player attempted to return muffed punt the wrong way

The hilarious Kent State returned-fumble-the-wrong-way play from last year was nearly repeated during Monday’s Texas Tech-Arizona State Holiday Bowl. After a Tech player botched the catch on a punt return, Arizona State’s Alden Darby picked up the muffed punt and started heading the wrong way. Even though the play didn’t technically happen beause the ball cannot be advanced on a muffed punt, it still was pretty funny.
