Russian Goalie Has Laser Pointed In His Eye Prior To Allowing Goal

Looks like some Algerian fans were prepared to do anything they could to help their team advance. Down 1-0 and a corner kick coming up, a fan flashed a laser pointer into Russian goalie Igor Akinfeev’s eye. Akinfeev clearly tried to signal the referee that someone was doing this, but no one else saw it and it was too late. Algeria tied the match and advanced to the knockout stages.
