Capitals’ Karl Alzner unveils tattoo that took 2 years to finish

Washington Capitals defenseman Karl Alzner has been working on his first tattoo for about two years now and didn’t want it shown off to the public until he finally had it finished.  Alzner unveiled the tattoo through a series of tweets and had this to say about it prior to it being finished:

Another Alzner note: he’s in the process of getting his first tattoo on his right arm. It depicts a nautical scene, including an old-school sailing ship and a water vista, as homage to his native Vancouver.

“People don’t really understand the vision,” Alzner said. No photos allowed until it’s finished.

Definitely an awesome finished product, and it is easy to see why it took two years to finish.
