Teemu Selanne snipes Jimmy Howard

Teemu Selanne may be the oldest player currently in the NHL, but he has still got it.  Selanne let this bomb go early in the third period on the power play to give the Anaheim Ducks the lead 2-1.  Detroit Red Wings goalie Jimmy Howard was partially screened by his defenseman Danny DeKeyser, and he never saw the shot.  It was perfectly placed and the Finnish Flash showed that he cannot be left alone.  The Ducks scored two power play goals and added an empty netter to defeat the Red Wings in Game 1, 3-1.  Game 2 will be on Thursday night at 10 pm.

Francois Beauchemin’s empty netter may have been even nicer.
