Sharks goalie Antti Niemi makes absurd save on Todd Bertuzzi in shootout

The San Jose Sharks and Detroit Red Wings were knotted at 0-0 on Monday night after three periods and overtime.  The Sharks were up 1-0 in the shootout when Red Wings forward Todd Bertuzzi went, needing to score to keep the shootout going.  Bertuzzi went down, faked a slap shot and made a great move to get around Sharks goalie Antti Niemi.  It seemed that Niemi was down and out until he kicked up his leg in an act of desperation, getting the puck to hit his pad.  Bertuzzi threw his hands up after the stop seemingly asking “how the **** did that happen?”  This is easily one of the better saves of the year and it didn’t even happen in a game.
