Nazem Kadri gets three game suspension for running over goalie

On Wednesday night in Minnesota, Toronto Maple Leafs forward Nazem Kadri laid some brutal hits.  First, Kadri absolutely destroyed Wild goalie Niklas Backstrom with a blatant blow to the head.  Then, he boarded Mikael Granlund, delivering another clear blow to the head.

Kadri was given a five-minute major and a game misconduct for his hit on Granlund, but he should have gotten it for his hit on Backstrom.  At any rate, Kadri was suspended by the NHL for three games for his hit on Backstrom.

Kadri needs to make some smarter decisions because hits like this don’t help anyone.
