Nathan Mackinnon Breaks Jared Spurgeon’s Ankles, Scores Goal in Game 2 for Avs

Nathan Mackinnon may be an 18-year-old playing in his first NHL playoffs, but he hasn’t wasted any time making an impact. On Thursday night, the Avs’ rookie sensation had three points, including the game winning assist in overtime, and on Saturday night, he opened the scoring for Colorado. The goal was ridiculous, as he broke Minnesota defenseman Jared Spurgeon’s ankles before beating Ilya Bryzgalov far side.
