Kris Letang crushes John Tavares during Penguins win

In a race for the puck during the second period, Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Kris Letang knew he was going to be hit and decided to initiate contact first.  Letang absolutely leveled New York Islanders forward John Tavares with this hit using his back, sending him almost parallel with the ice.  I think that Letang’s hit was a bit questionable, especially since neither of them had control of the puck.  You could argue that Letang was guilty of interference since he ignored the puck and prevented Tavares from getting to it.  Regardless of that, Letang’s hit was a massive one.
