Jeff Carter Scores Buzzer-Beater At End Of First Period

After a period that was dominated by the New York Rangers, Los Angeles Kings forward Jeff Carter killed all of the Rangers momentum with a buzzer-beater goal. The puck hit Rangers defenseman Dan Girardi’s skate and then off of Henrik Lundqvist’s glove and into the net. Lundqvist still almost made the save despite the last-second change of direction. A devastating end to the first period for the Rangers, no doubt. There is nothing worse than giving up a goal in the last-minute of the period.

The Kings have now held the lead in the Stanley Cup Final for only 0.8 seconds despite being up 2-0.
