Inside The Vancouver Canucks’ Internal Ryan Kesler Trade Talks

More and more NHL teams are giving the media access to the inner-workings and discussions their franchises are having and as a fan I could not be more thrilled. More teams and leagues need to do this. It would be awesome to have little sound bites like this coming from the NFL for multiple teams and not just the team on Hard Knocks.

It’s pretty fascinating to hear Jim Benning, the new Vancouver Canucks general manager, discuss the Ryan Kesler and Jason Garrison trades and the return that they expect out of the players they’re getting. Though I have to respectfully disagree with the notion that Lucas Sbisa can be a top four defenseman for the Canucks.
