Philadelphia Flyers goalie Steve Mason injured himself in a very bizarre incident on Sunday during the Flyers game against the Washington Capitals. He appeared to be trying to get refocused for when the game started up again when he tweaked something in his lower body.
Ray Emery would come in as his relief and helped hold off the Caps for a 3-1 win.
The Flyers had this to say about the injury:
Flyers GM Ron Hextall announced to the media following the second period of the Flyers-Capitals game that goaltender Steve Mason has a lower-body injury and will not return to the game.
