Calgary Flames’ goal taken away for too many men on the ice

It’s not often that you see a goal taken away for having too many men on the ice, but that is exactly what happened here.  There was a delayed penalty coming up to the Buffalo Sabres and so the Calgary Flames pulled their goalie.  Unfortunately, there was a serious miscommunication on the Flames bench and they ended up with 7 players out on the ice.  I’m not sure why it took the referees so long to blow the play dead, because it should have been blown dead as soon as they noticed 7 players were on the ice.
