SNL makes fun of the Super Bowl Blackout

Before the Super Bowl, Saturday Night Live did a great job of mocking Ray Lewis, and this time, the Super Bowl Blackout was on a tee for them to do a skit about it.  For their opening segment on Saturday night, they spoofed CBS and their crew stationed on the field for the game.

Kenan Thompson did another great job, this time imitating Jim Brown perfectly, but the real winner here was Jay Pharoah who imitated Shannon Sharpe.  Pharoah has made a name for himself with his imitations, which are always perfect.  He nails Sharpe’s voice and facial expressions, and then drops the biggest bomb of the show, talking about Ray Lewis and the suspected murders.  Saturday Night Live has done a great job recently staying on top of current events and making fun of them during their skits; even talking about Dan Marino and his illegitimate child.
