Jacksonville Jaguars announce $63 Million renovations for Everbank Field

The Jacksonville Jaguars held a press conference on Wednesday to announce they were going to renovate the stadium and it was going to cost about $63 Million.  The city of Jacksonville is helping to pay for the renovations, which means that the Jaguars won’t be moving any time soon, despite the constant rumors of them going to Los Angeles or London.  Among the renovations will be two massive state of the art end zone video boards, cabanas in the end zones, and swimming pools in the end zones.

Owner Shad Khan is looking to improve the gameday experience for fans in order to get more people to attend.  I’ll be perfectly honest, watching a Jaguars game from a swimming pool has to be better than watching one from a hot plastic seat.  The mock ups look great and the renovations should be done before the 2014-2015 NFL Season.
