49ers kicker Phil Dawson attempts 71-yard Free Kick

A free kick is one of the rarest things you will see in an NFL game, but just before the half on Thursday night during the San Francisco-St. Louis game, 49ers kicker Phil Dawson was given his shot at one.  This 71-yard free kick attempt was way wide and short, and Rams WR Austin Pettis fielded the kick and started to return it.  Pettis didn’t get very far and overall it was a lackluster play.
