Video: Kevin Love stomps on Luis Scola’s face

Things got a bit chippy Saturday night in Minnesota between the Timberwolves and Rockets. Midway through the third quarter, Luis Scola was hammered by Kevin Love and fell to the floor. The following incident took place with Love appearing to have intentionally stepped on Scola.

Following the game Love had this to say: “I fell down. He was kind of right there,”  “I got Size-19 feet. He just happened to be there. I had nowhere to go. I got tripped up. I had nowhere to step. It is just heat of the moment-type play.”

This is not the first bad blood incident between the two power forwards. On Monday night, Scola threw a pass that hit Love right in the groin.  However, this still doesn’t make up for the fact that this Suh-like-stomp was immature and put Scola in a dangerous spot. If you’ve ever played basketball and someone steps on your face, you’re fortunate to come away with all your teeth and no broken nose. The All Star power forward should be expecting a suspension from David Stern very soon.
