Tony Parker false starts on free throw, subsequently given another attempt

In an absolutely bizarre sequence of events in the third quarter of Wednesday night’s contest between the Bulls and Spurs, Tony Parker was awarded an extra free throw after apparently false starting on his first attempt. Whether the officials said something to Parker mid shot or the ball slipped out of his hands, Chicago head coach Tom Thibodeau had a beyond-sufficient reason to be livid.

The Spurs wound up losing by ten points, so in retrospect the peculiar call wound up not factoring in the outcome of the game.
