Nike unveils new LeBron 9 shoes

Miami Heat star, Lebron James, will be sporting a new pair of kicks next season. Nike unveiled their new LeBron James’ shoe model, the LeBron 9, on Tuesday.  

The shoe has a suggested retail price of $170, and according to Matt Powell, an analyst with SportsOneSource, “it’s the highest price for any basketball kicks sold at Nike’s online store — with the exception of a pair of Jordan shoes that sell for $175”.

The shoe will be available for purchase in China on October 1st, then hit the U.S. with a limited edition “Cannon” color scheme on Oct. 15. The black/red/white shoe, as seen below, will be in U.S. stores October 25th.

Last year, the Nike Lebron 8’s, sold about half a million pair of sneakers and generating around $80 million in sales.
