Derrick Williams puts forward a candidate for fail of the year

Derrick Williams, who was traded from the Timberwolves to the Kings earlier this season, hasn’t exactly panned out as the second overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft. His stats this year are pretty much on par with his rookie year numbers, but he apparently thinks he’s improved enough to try a dinner’s served off the backboard on a fastbreak. As you can imagine, he’s not LeBron James so it didn’t turn out so well.

It’s going to be hard for him to see more than 25 minutes a game off the bench if he doesn’t take advantage of every opportunity he gets.
