Alex Rodriguez: “Last 7 months have been worst in my life”

Alex Rodriguez, who is the only player to appeal his suspension (211 games–through the 2014 season) for using performance-enhancing drugs, spoke with the media before Monday’s New York Yankees and Chicago White Sox game in Chicago. Rodriguez started the conference out by saying, “The last seven months have been a nightmare. Probably the worst time of my life, for sure.” Later Rodriguez was quoted as saying that he’s “fighting for my life. If I don’t defend myself, nobody else will.”
