KHL’s Evgeny Artyukhin ejected for flying elbow head shot on Niklas Persson (Video)

Evgeny Artyukhin played only 199 games in the NHL before making the move over to play for St. Petersburg SKA in the KHL in 2010.  With no NHL games, KHL games are getting more publicity now than ever before.

This flying elbow shot on CSKA’s Niklas Persson earned Artyukhin a 5 minute major for a head check and a game misconduct.  And honestly, after watching the cheap shot in slow motion, it would not surprise me to see him receive a suspension, especially considering how badly Persson was bleeding.
