Jared Lorenzen, the Hefty Lefty, makes his triumphant return in the CIFL

Anyone who followed college football in the early 2000s can’t possibly forget the Hefty Lefty. Former Kentucky Wildcats quarterback Jared Lorenzen was thought to be out of football, when he emerged on Monday night playing for the Northern Kentucky River Monsters in the inaugural game of the CIFL.

Lorenzen has put on some serious weight since his time as Eli Manning’s backup in New York and is currently weighing in at 6’4″ 320 lbs, looking far more like a left guard than a quarterback. Despite this, Lorenzen still has some escapability and his highlights from the game have gone viral.
