Floyd Landis convicted of hacking into computer lab

Floyd Landis is best known for his 2006 Tour de France title -which he was later stripped of after his involvement in a major doping scandal. Landis, who admitted to doping from 2002 through 2006, made news on Thursday again for wrong reasons.

Landis was stripped of the 2006 Tour title after the WADA-accredited lab south of Paris found unusually high testosterone levels in his samples. According to reports, a French court convicted him for his role in hacking into the computers of the anti-doping lab just weeks after being accused of doping during the Tour de France.

The Farmersville, Pennsylvania, native  had someone else break into the computer systems and steal the reports. “The case centered on alleged use of a Trojan horse spy program in late 2006 to poke into the lab’s computers to extract information about Landis’ file — months after he tested positive — to use in his defense.”

Landis, and former coach Arnie Baker, were given 12-month suspended sentences, while the man who actually admitted hacking into the lab, Alain Quiros, was sentenced to six months in prison and a $5,416 fine.

Floyd is a sketchy dude.
