Former Captain Andrew Copp Makes NHL Debut, Teammates Prank Him, Records Assist

Former Michigan captain Andrew Copp left school early to sign an NHL contract and finally made his NHL debut in the last game of the year for the Winnipeg Jets. To welcome Copp to the league, the Jets let Copp lead the team out and then hung back in the hallway so he was the only one on the ice.

Copp ended up playing just over 13 minutes and added an assist. Not a bad debut, but I wouldn’t expect him to play in the playoffs at all.
