With news that Tyrone Wheatley will take over coaching the running backs position at Michigan, early indications are that his son, Tyrone Wheatley Jr., will follow his dad to Ann Arbor.
At 6-foot-6 and 250 pounds, Wheatley could play either defensive end or tight end at the next level (he played both in high school). A Canisius, New York product, Wheatley has offers from some of the best programs in the country – Alabama, USC, Oregon and Florida State. Wheatley Jr.’s Crystal Ball prediction is currently 91% in favor of Michigan.

This would be a very nice scoop for the new coaching staff if they can grab Wheatley Jr., ranked the 12th best TE according to 247Sports, and also potentially Chris Clark, the 2nd best TE prospect, who visits Ann Arbor on January 16th.
