Did Refs Screw Georgia With First-Down Call Against South Carolina?

Football is a game of inches as became perfectly clear during Saturday’s South Carolina-Georgia game.  With a little under two-minutes left in the game, South Carolina QB Dylan Thompson did a quarterback sneak. The officials ruled a first-down, thus giving South Carolina, the home team, the victory. However,  a closer look at the video and the picture above, and it appears there’s space between the first-down marker and the football.
