Oregon Recruit shocked by Chip Kelly’s departure

Nico Falah is a four-star offensive tackle who is verbally committed to USC.  It is obviously a soft commit because he is allowing other coaches to visit.  I think it’s safe to say that now that Chip Kelly has left, that Oregon will no longer be on his list.

Falah tweeted “Chip Kelly left?!?! He was at my house 2 days ago.” Falah’s tweet does speak to how last-minute and how quickly this deal got done though.  Kelly was legitimately planning on staying at Oregon, until the Eagles made their new offer.  If he had the intentions of leaving all along, he certainly wouldn’t have wasted his time by going to visit recruits.  It will be interesting to see if the Ducks lose any recruits/commits now that Kelly has left.
