Oklahoma and Texas reveal special uniforms for Red River Rivalry

The Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners unveiled their uniforms for the Red River Shootout Rivalry game on Saturday.  The jerseys are the same as they would normally be, but they are covered in gold trim and have a patch on them.

All of the gold is a tribute to the trophy they play for, the Golden Hat.

I think that this is the perfect way to have special uniforms.  Something is slightly altered in honor of the game, but it’s nothing so drastic that the fan base rejects it.
