Michigan RB Derrick Green To Transfer

According to College Football Talk, junior RB Derrick Green has been granted a release and will transfer out of Michigan:

A source with knowledge of the situation has confirmed to CFT that Green received a release from his UM scholarship earlier this week and will transfer out of the Wolverines football program. Rumors have been swirling for weeks that Green is a potential, or even likely transfer, although there has been no official confirmation from either side.

Green, the No. 8 prospect in the 2013 class to Rivals.com, finished his three seasons in Ann Arbor with 898 yards rushing on 212 carries and seven touchdowns.

Green missed the last four games for the Wolverines, including the Citrus Bowl victory over Florida, due to what Jim Harbaugh described as a ‘internal matter.’ Green would be eligible to play immediately.
