Is Michigan About To Lose A Five-Star Commit To An SEC School?

The Wolverines hosted four/five-star DE Julian Walker for a visit this past weekend. With signing day today, it seems like it may not be enough for them to get him in the class. There are reports that South Carolina, where his dad is the Strength and Conditioning coach, is doing all it’s power to keep him at home. On3 with the latest:

Columbia (S.C) four-star EDGE Julian Walker has been a major rankings riser this fall, checking in as a borderline five-star prospect in the latest Rivals update last month. He has been a longtime Michigan commit, but has very strong ties to South Carolina. In addition to being from Columbia, his dad is on staff with the Gamecocks.

And they are making a big late run at flipping him

The Wolverine also reported that he is not expected to sign today during the early signing period.
