Arizona State Sun Devils Unveil Copper Alternate Jersey

The Arizona State Sun Devils unveiled a Copper Alternate jersey to pay homage to Arizona’s copper industry on Monday and it’s a pretty slick set up. Normally I hate uniforms that bring in colors that aren’t the schools actual colors but this seems to work. And the “PT 42” honoring Pat Tillman on the bumper of the helmet is phenomenal.

It is interesting that Nike made these jerseys with gradient numbers when the Arizona Wildcats had to change their numbers because it violated NCAA rules. We’ll see if this uniform doesn’t have to make any changes.

It’s also too bad for the Sun Devils that their rival Wildcats already have a copper helmet, so a little late to the party here.
