Appears It’s A Two Team Race For Four-Star Shayne Simon

Notre Dame 247sports Insider Tom Loy penned an article highlighting how the Irish sit with several recruits at The Opening this past weekend. Shayne Simon, a four-star safety out of New Jersey, was one of the recruits mentioned. Here’s what Loy wrote about the No. 7 OLB in 2018 and when a decision could come:

I still like Notre Dame for four-star rover target Shayne Simon. Wiltfong and I both believe a decision could come very soon, potentially within the next week or two. It could very well be Michigan, but until I hear otherwise, I still think it’s the Fighting Irish. Simon looked good this week and snagged a few interceptions. His ball skills are legit and his size checks out. Notre Dame needs to land this one.
