Appalachian State Mountaineers gets new uniforms

The Appalachian State Mountaineers unveiled their new uniforms for the 2013-2014 college football season, their final year in the FCS.  This was a great job by the athletic department that clearly took a “less is more” type approach.  They removed all of the ridiculous striping, and simplified the uniforms.  The Matte Black helmets with the block “A” on the helmet and outside shoulders is a good look.  I love the grey alternate jersey with the mascot Yosef on the shoulders and helmet, as well as the team’s motto “Always Attack” on the name plate.  App State proved why less can be more and it’s too bad more teams don’t take this approach (I’m looking at you Maryland).
