Alabama RB Bo Scarbrough had to be carted off the field near the end of Friday’s scrimmage, and reports are back that the the former five-star recruit tore his ACL, according to TideSports.com.
“Bo was doing pretty well, but we’ve had injuries, suspensions, and lost some people at that position so what seemed like a pretty strong position for us, depth-wise, has gotten a little thin,” Saban said.
The 6-foot-2, 240-pound Scarbrough had 11 carries for 36-yards and 2 TDs before suffering the injury during the scrimmage. Scarbrough was expected to be the team’s third-back behind Derrick Henry and Kenyan Drake. Freshman Damien Harris will likely take that role with Scarbrough potentially missing the season.
