Roy Williams Pens Heartfelt Letter To Child Who Had Been Bullied

North Carolina’s Roy Williams had an awesome gesture for an 11-year-old boy dealing with Asperger’s syndrome. Drew Summerlin, from Western New York, who sustained a concussion after several students attacked him at the school’s cafeteria, was sent this letter by Roy Williams and a team-signed photo.

Here’s what the note read:

“Drew, I heard about what you’re going through and I wanted to let you know that the entire team and coaching staff are thinking about you,” Williams wrote. “I’m so sorry and upset with what you have been going through. Someday those kids will realize how terribly they acted and will be ashamed.”
