Report: Alabama To Make Run For Wichita State’s Gregg Marshall

After leading Wichita State to a win over Kansas and a Sweet 16 birth, Gregg Marshall is going to be one of the hottest names on the coaching market this offseason. With Anthony Grant recently fired, Marshall’s name is reportedly in consideration for the open Alabama position.

According to CBSSports.com, Alabama officials are prepared to present an offer to Marshall in excess of $3 million per year in an attempt to lure him to Tuscaloosa once Wichita State’s season is over.

Marshall, 52, has led Wichita State to four straight NCAA tournaments and took them to the final four 2013. Marshall would be a very big land for Alabama.
