Likely No.1 Pick Joel Embiid Suffers Another Injury Setback

The Cleveland Cavaliers most likely had their minds set on drafting Kansas’ Joel Embiid with the first pick in next weeks NBA Draft. That was however until it was announced that the 7-foot Cameroon native, who didn’t suit up for the Jayhawks’  NCAA Tournament because of a back injury, has a stress fracture in his foot and will have surgery tomorrow.

It’s very possible with Embiid’s second injury in months, he will be passed up in the top 2-5 spots in the draft. But if he falls to the Lakers’ No.7 spot, look for them to take a chance and hope he recovers fully.
