Derrick Nix lands on a cheerleader trying to save the basketball

Michigan State Center Derrick Nix is a big boy to say the least.  In an attempt to save a ball from going out of bounds, the 6’9″ 270 pound center lost his balance throwing it back to Keith Appling and landed on a Spartan cheerleader.  The crowd’s reaction says it all, as they all let out an “Ohhh,” as the poor girl was crushed underneath him.  #12 Michigan State went on to beat #18 Minnesota, 61-50, in Big Ten action on Wednesday night.  No word on whether or not the girl was injured and all Derrick Nix had to say about the game was:
