Ethiopia Steeplechaser collapses after running into hurdle (video)

Ethiopian steeplechaser, Birhan Getahun, found out the hard way that the last obstacle may just be the hardest one.

After running over 8 minutes in the 3,000-meter steeplechase heat Friday morning, Getahun couldn’t quite finish the race after he slammed straight into the last hurdle.

Getahun was cheered as he tried to finish the race, which he was unable to do. He eventually was taken off the track in a wheelchair.
