Vancouver Canucks take you inside an NHL Trade Call

On Wednesday April 3rd at 3 pm, the 2013 NHL Trade deadline passed.  There were 17 trades in all, which included 30 players and 14 draft picks finding new homes.  In case you ever wondered what it was like when an NHL Trade Call goes through the NHL between two teams, the Vancouver Canucks did everyone a favor.  The Canucks filmed their trade call with the Dallas Stars during their April 2nd trade of Derek Roy.  I have to say that it’s pretty interesting to see how formal everything is and how specific they have to be while they are on the phone and to get confirmation from both sides, rather than just faxing in a trade agreement.
