Stars’ Kari Lehtonen leaves game after hitting head on crossbar

On the night that Dallas Stars legend Mike Modano had his number retired, the Stars wanted to bring home a win for him. Unfortunately for the Stars, starting goalie Kari Lehtonen was injured during their effort after being headbutted by Minnesota Wild forward Erik Haula and then hitting his head on the crossbar. Haula was given a five-minute major and a game misconduct for this hit and a suspension wouldn’t surprise me. The GIF of this looks pretty nasty and hopefully Lehtonen will be okay, newly acquired goalie Tim Thomas came in to replace Lehtonen.
