Predators Defenseman Shea Weber Puts Hole In Boards With Slap Shot

I’ve seen a lot of crazy stuff in the hockey world, but this might be the most ridiculous/scary. Nashville Predators defenseman Shea Weber is known for having a rocket of a slap shot, though not as fast as Zdeno Chara’s, and these photos from his teammate Seth Jones show just how hard it is. Weber actually broke the boards behind the net, which is absolutely ridiculous. It’s one thing to break the glass, but the boards? These boards don’t even look that old, and sure they could have been cleaned, but still. It has got to suck to block Weber’s shot.
