Patrick Kane scores two backhand goals in Game 5

Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane netted a pair of backhand goals to open the scoring in Game 5 against the Boston Bruins.  The first goal he was able to tuck a loose puck past Bruins goalie Tuukka Rask.  Blackhawks defenseman Johnny Oduya fired a slapshot that was partially blocked by Bruins defenseman Dennis Seidenberg’s stick, which broke on the play, and the puck trickled past Rask to Kane.  Rask was all squared up to stop Oduya’s shot, but the deflection by Seidenberg caught him out of position and gave Kane a wide open net.

The second goal came after Blackhawks forward Bryan Bickell picked up his own rebound behind the net and tried a wrap around.  He tucked the puck into the side of the net and the puck bounced right to Kane and he buried it top shelf past Rask.  Why Patrick Kane was alone in front of the net is beyond me.  The Bruins defense has been pretty bad the last two games, and they look slow.  It seems to me that Zdeno Chara and Dennis Seidenberg are playing through injuries and that is why they are slow and seem to get out of position.
